Amazing fireworks
I am still reviewing media stuff that I did during my batizado in June. The last (I think) item is this set of pictures showing awesome fireworks. The story is simple. Evening, after the batizado we were walking by Vistula river, near Wawel castle heading to our party (with a great capoeira vs break dance show by the way, and that will be the last item). Suddenly (and I mean really out of a blue) on the other side of the river an amazing fireworks show is starting to happen right in front of our eyes.
I did a ton of pictures so my battery was quite low when I got to the party (just remember that last sentences for the next batizado related post).

Verde claro - my first cordao in capoeira
Last Saturday I had my capoeira batizado. Now I have a verde claro cordao (meaning a light green rope) and I am an aluno de capoeira (meaning a student of capoeira).
As promised I will start explaining some details about capoeira. You know already what a batizado is. The next important moment for a capoeirista is a ceremony called troca de cordao. It is basically the same as batizado with a difference that you are already in the group and the reason for this is to receive a higher cordao.
The ranks in capoeira regional, in my group are as follows:
ALUNO
ALUNO 1º - verde claro (light green)
ALUNO 2º - verde (green)
ALUNO 3º - amarelo (yellow)
ALUNO 4º (Graduado) - azul (blue)
FORMADO
FORMADO - vermelho (red)
ESTAGIARIO
ESTAGIARIO 1º - verde + amarelo (green-yellow)
ESTAGIARIO 2º - azul + vermelho (blue-red)

One day left to batizado
As you may or may not know as a part of getting back to shape I started learning capoeira. It is a mix of marshall art, dance, music and culture for Brazil going back even to Africa. I will be writing more about it after my batizado on Saturday.
Batizado is an important moment for every capoeira player. It is organised every year to welcome (baptise) new members into the group. Each capoerista receives a cordao representing their level. For the new ones it is light green cordao.
More information coming soon. In the meantime enjoy some capoeira from Brazil.

10 days of sporting activities
As of today I will complete 10 straight days of sporting activities. I know it's not much but it just happened:) Apparently my plan of getting back to shape is paying off.
