Know what you eat
Recently I'v posted link to a short film about local food in Canada. Since then I have discovered two documentaries about food in the modern world.
One is called Food Fight.
Second is called Food, Inc.

I guess this is true for many post industrial countries. I am not sure if the message in the video is the rigth and only solution. I understand where it is coming from though. Do you think that after many years of specialization we can now go back to multi-production in every country.
Anyway, the video is really well made so enjoy.

This week I started a detoxing diet. It lasts 10 days after which you continue with healthy eating.
1-3 days [fruits, vegatables]
4-5 days [fruits, vegatables] + [fermented milk products, like buttermilk or milk fruit shakes]
6-7 days [fruits, vegatables] + [fermented milk products] + [whole grain products]
8-9 days [fruits, vegatables] + [fermented milk products] + [whole grain products] + [milk, cheese, eggs]
Since day 10 you can also add fish and meat (preferably chicken).
After this 10 days you can continue to just eat healthy. However it is not as easy as it sounds.
As an inspiration you can use the video I found trhough CurrentTV. It is a short documentary "Live 'n Raw: The 30-Day Experiment" which tells a story about to sudent going on a 30 day experiment of eating only raw food.

We already use to much space. I know that kitchen is the central place in the house but at the same time it is the place that needs to be cleaned the most. So just think. Smaller kitchen, less cleaning. Right?!
Hailed as “Tube,” the mini kitchen module takes its shape from 2 tubes that are united by a stem. Presenting a double decked glass case, the modular kitchen also features a round cooker (with induction technology) for a burn-free cooking. You may store small dishes in the oval drawers; while on the other hand, a big hatch provides amble space for saucepans. Moreover, the mini kitchen includes a table that comes out the module to dine the food for a small family. Simply smart and space saving, a boon for compact urban apartments!

If you like camping and wish to bring less stuff with you but have the same options you should think about this bag. It is a cooler (can contain up to 20 beer cans) that extends into a table. Plus, you can have a fancy lunch in the woods.

If you want to eat colorful&healthy food that looks and is delicious you probably need to prepare it yourself. Today I've stumbled onto this cool site (TasteSpotting) that might help you with that. Tell me what you think.

Encouraged by @steepster I decided to try a recipe for Matcha Truffles from LA Times food section. The outcome is amazingly delicious. See for yourself.

If you want to eat good and healthy it's probably best to cook your own food. However, it's not so easy to carry it to work. Well, with this little (maybe not so little) box it is.
