Looking back at my batizado
Right after my batizado I had so much work that I wasn't able to make the video summary of this cool event. Today, I finally found some time. Enjoy!

This week I started a detoxing diet. It lasts 10 days after which you continue with healthy eating.
1-3 days [fruits, vegatables]
4-5 days [fruits, vegatables] + [fermented milk products, like buttermilk or milk fruit shakes]
6-7 days [fruits, vegatables] + [fermented milk products] + [whole grain products]
8-9 days [fruits, vegatables] + [fermented milk products] + [whole grain products] + [milk, cheese, eggs]
Since day 10 you can also add fish and meat (preferably chicken).
After this 10 days you can continue to just eat healthy. However it is not as easy as it sounds.
As an inspiration you can use the video I found trhough CurrentTV. It is a short documentary "Live 'n Raw: The 30-Day Experiment" which tells a story about to sudent going on a 30 day experiment of eating only raw food.

As you may or may not know as a part of getting back to shape I started learning capoeira. It is a mix of marshall art, dance, music and culture for Brazil going back even to Africa. I will be writing more about it after my batizado on Saturday.
Batizado is an important moment for every capoeira player. It is organised every year to welcome (baptise) new members into the group. Each capoerista receives a cordao representing their level. For the new ones it is light green cordao.
More information coming soon. In the meantime enjoy some capoeira from Brazil.

Spring time brings me again to the Kampinos forrest. Due to lack of time however I decided to make just a short stroll - 15k in the south east part of the National Park.

If you remember earlier this year I was wondering if I should buy FitBit. I have some additional info about this pretty cool device. FitBit creators pitch their product at TC50. After thinking, thinking and some more thinkig, also after watching their presentation, all I've got to say is "I still want it". Anyone using it?

Whether you plan to cure cancer, lose weight or be the world's best parent, results of a new study suggest you'd do well to keep your mouth shut about it. And not just to avoid annoying other people.
Researchers report that when dealing with identity goals — that is, the aspirations that define who we are — sharing our intentions doesn't necessarily motivate achievement. On the contrary, a series of experiments shows that when others take notice of our plans, performance is compromised because we gain "a premature sense of completeness" about the goal.
So let me get this straight. By starting this blog I diminished my chance to achieve the goal of getting back into shape.
Luckily, the research doesn't apply to everyone. Cause I did improve my stamina.
However, you must have noticed that I write more about many "sound mind/sound body" things and not just my sporting activities. Interesting, isn't it;)

I want to start doing some yoga exercises. From what I've read they give body strength, help you strech (and I really need that for capoeira), increase flexibility and generally improve your well-being.
I have some DVDs with set of yoga exercies. However, I was wondering if you know any good programme for yoga practise. Something like the 100 push-ups.
So far I'm not doing to great with this. I've already made three attempts to start yoga but was able to distract myself from it. I really need your support here. Hopefully a public obligation will work:)

Yesterday I got back from another long weekend of downhill skiing. Awesome! & Amazing! I am really sad that the winter is almost over. I am really looking forward to the upcoming season. I am hungry for skiing. Also I decided to get a new pair of skies since my old decent classic ones just don't do it for me anymore. Although I will never forget them:)
Getting back in shape seems to be working pretty good so far. I hope to keep it up. And I know you will keep me motivated.
In the meantime enjoy some pictures. Snow is all over the place.
