FitBit - I still want it

If you remember earlier this year I was wondering if I should buy FitBit. I have some additional info about this pretty cool device. FitBit creators pitch their product at TC50. After thinking, thinking and some more thinkig, also after watching their presentation, all I've got to say is "I still want it". Anyone using it?

Should I buy this?

I found this rather cool gadget and I am wondering if I should buy it or not. The price is not that high, although with the USD becoming stronger over PLN it is becoming pricier every day, and who know what the exchange rate will look like in 1Q 2009 or later when product is launched internationally. The design is definitely interesting, enough at least to buy this little toy:) The functionality is intriguing. It will be really helpful in work-out programs, diets etc. I am really hoping for the sleep analysis.

How does the sleep tracking work and what will I learn?
It's important that you get a good night's sleep. Recent studies have shown that sleep quality is linked to overall wellness. Have you ever wondered why you still feel tired even though you think you've gotten a full 8 hours of sleep? The Fitbit Tracker will allow to "see" what your body is actually doing at night.

When you get into bed, you slide the Fitbit Tracker onto a wristband that is provided with the Tracker. As you fall in and out of sleep, the Fitbit tracks the movements that your body makes and can tell you how long it took you to fall asleep, how many times you woke up throughout the night and the actual time you were asleep vs the time you were in bed.
Any thoughts?

Oh, and this really cool gadget is called Fitbit. More info here.

Back on track

It's good to "run" again. I have started Second Step (run/walking).
For two weeks I am doing this:
- 10 min fast walk to warm up
- 10-15 min of run-walking... 1 min running - 2 min walking
- 10 min to cool down

So far I've noticed that it adds additional lap to my route.

Another observation... I went swimming afterwards and got a cramp.
Need to stretch after run-walking I guess... What do you think?

Running update

OK, so I'm back. Backpacking was great. I feel much stronger now. Even lost 4 lb.

Hope to continue my running schedule, starting this week.

Wish me luck.

Backpacking it is

As for the running schedule I am thinking that 10 days of backpacking equals the First Step continuation. Don't you agree...

Running turns into backpacking

In order to prepare for my summer trip to Norway I had to suspend my running schedule.

I will take it up again once I come back.

CU in end of August!!!

First Step - The last few days

OK. I didn't update daily as promised...Here's what happend. The third time (25 min) in first week was replaced by biking weekend.

And now, the second week, I've done two walks of 30 min. Two more to go.

WISH ME LUCK!
